The rammed earth walls were greatly affected by the change of temperature fields in arid environments, particularly swell-shrink stress caused gradient variations was one main factors leading to surface weathering sites. While heat conduction, convection, and radiation resulting walls. In this study, thermocouple sensors embedded a rammed-earth test wall, continuously monitor field wall from near-surface area interior. results revealed that influenced seasonal together with significant changes daily differences. top thermal while interior foundation conduction. annual difference reached 62.99 °C, maximum on 24.3 which mainly appeared during spring autumn seasons. thickness temperature-sensitive less than 32 cm, within varied dramatically at depths 0–18 cm. 18–32 cm somewhat no obvious exceeding These trends indicate has an outstanding function preservation insulation.
